Onavani Academy · Cohort 1

You already own a job. Let's turn it into a business.

Right now you do hair all day and the admin all night — chasing bookings, answering the same DMs, remembering who to follow up with. In four weeks we set up the systems that carry all of that for you, so when you leave the chair, you're actually off the clock.

4 weeks · one session a week 12 seats · Cohort 1 Free · application only $500 grant · earned at graduation
The problem nobody names

You're brilliant at hair. But you're working two jobs.

The first one ends when you leave the chair. The second one — the booking, the pricing, the follow-up, the money math — follows you home and eats the evening you were supposed to have off.

That second shift is the difference between a job and a business. A job means you do both, forever. A business means the systems handle the admin, so the only thing that stays yours is the part you love: the hair.

Your second shift, most weeks

  • Answering the same booking questions in your DMs, late at night
  • Wondering if you're charging enough — and quietly undercharging
  • Meaning to text the clients who drifted off, and never getting to it
  • Guessing where your money actually went this month
  • Staring at the caption box after eight hours on your feet
Onavani Academy takes this off your plate.
Why we built this
Our mission

To move independent stylists from self-employed to business owner — by taking the admin off their plate, so their craft stays theirs and their time comes back to them.

Our vision

A generation of independent beauty professionals who own real businesses, not just jobs — where the work around the chair runs itself. One cohort at a time, starting in Austin, TX.

What you leave with

Not homework. Systems that carry the load.

01

Pricing that pays you

Set once, working on every booking — so you stop second-guessing your rates and stop leaving money on the table.

02

A booking page that answers for you

Takes bookings, answers the usual questions, and holds deposits while you're with a client or asleep. You stop living in your DMs.

03

Follow-up that runs in the background

It spots the clients slipping away and drafts the text in your voice. You just hit send — the remembering and the writing are done for you.

04

Your evenings back

Your numbers at a glance and a 20-minute weekly check-in — instead of a second shift of admin every single night.

How it works

Four weeks. One session a week. Each week removes one chore for good.

Week01

The Second Shift

See it clearly: what you actually take home, and how many hours a week you work for free after you leave the chair. You can't fix what you've never put on paper.

a true picture of your business — the "before" you'll measure against
Week02

Get Paid What You're Worth

The lesson nobody showed you: empty hours make every booked hour more expensive. We reprice your whole menu to a number that actually pays you.

pricing — decided once, working on every booking
Week03

Stop the Leaks

The money was never lost — it's the clients who drifted off and never got a nudge. We set up the tool that watches for you and drafts the text; you just approve.

remembering and writing follow-ups
Week04

Your Evenings Back

We put it all live — booking page answering 24/7, follow-up running, numbers on one screen — and trade your nightly grind for a 20-minute weekly check-in. Graduation.

$500Founder's Grant · earned at graduation
The Founder's Grant

Graduate, and start your business with $500 behind you.

Every stylist who finishes the four weeks and puts her systems live earns a $500 Onavani Founder's Grant — business credit to get your booking page, your follow-up, and your first marketing off the ground. We put money into your business before we ever ask you for anything, because we only win when you do.

How you earn it

  • Show up for all four weeks
  • Finish each week's build
  • Go live by graduation

What it's for

  • Your ChairFill setup
  • Your booking page
  • Your first marketing push

It's Onavani credit, not cash — the point is to get your business running, not to write you a check.

Who it's for

Built for the independent chair.

You're a fit if…

  • You run your own book — you own a suite, or rent a booth or a chair
  • You're past the very beginning — you have clients and work regularly
  • You can commit to all four weekly sessions
  • You're ready to actually do the work between sessions

Not this round if…

  • You're an employee on commission — you don't control your own pricing or booking yet
  • You run a multi-chair shop with staff — that's a different problem; reach out separately
  • You're brand new and still building your first clients — start with our free tools and apply next round
  • You can't make the sessions this month — apply for the next cohort
The cost

It's free. But it's earned.

There's no fee. You apply, and if you're chosen for one of the 12 seats, it costs nothing but your time and your commitment. We invest our hands-on help; you invest four weeks of showing up and doing the work. We only win when your business does — and when you choose to keep using the tools after you graduate.

Questions

Before you apply

Is it really free?

Yes. Cohort 1 is free. You apply, and if you're selected it costs nothing but your time. We make money when your business grows and you choose to keep using our tools — not from a course fee.

Is the $500 grant cash?

No — it's $500 in Onavani business credit that you earn by graduating. You spend it inside Onavani on getting your business live: your booking page, your ChairFill setup, your first marketing. It's fuel for your business, not a paycheck — and there's a window to use it, so it actually gets your business moving.

Do I have to buy anything?

No. The tools we use in the Academy are ours, and they're free to you during the program and after you graduate.

What are the "tools" you keep mentioning?

A pricing calculator, a budget tool, and ChairFill — the piece that handles your booking page and your client follow-up. We set them up with you in the last two weeks, on your real business, not a demo.

Why only 12 seats?

Because it's hands-on. We set up your actual pricing, your actual booking page, and your actual follow-up — with you, not at you. Twelve is the most we can do that well in one cohort.

Do I need to be in Austin, TX?

Cohort 1 is small and hands-on, and we're focused on Austin, TX to start. If you're local, you're in the right place. If you're not, apply anyway and tell us — it helps us plan the next cohorts.

What if I miss a week?

The sprint works because it's four weeks in a row, so we ask you to commit to all four. Life happens — talk to us. If you know you can't make this round, apply for the next one instead.

Stop working the second shift. Start owning the business.

There are 12 seats in Cohort 1 — and every graduate leaves with their systems live and a $500 founder's grant to start. We read every application and reply within about a week.
